Why We Started SPIKE

You may have seen us on X under the pseudonyms c and exp. By day, we work at the intersection between tech and finance, but during our free time we navigate the frontier of biology and embark on side quests. SPIKE was born of one such side quest.

It was July of 2024 when we first scoured the web for a comprehensive mineral blend. Multivitamins exist, and a few are decent enough, surely we were going to be able to find a decent mineral blend, right? (No.)

Long story short, the few mineral blends that exist have suboptimal inter mineral ratios, use compounds with poor oral bioavailability, are criminally underdosed, with many other lesser flaws. More often than not they ticked multiple of these boxes. As far as electrolyte blends go, it was easier: the ratios were never quite what we wanted, but it was possible to find acceptable products with sodium, potassium and magnesium, but we had pill fatigue and wanted a more holistic solution. We wanted better. We wanted a best in class product.

Inspired by the likes of Gator, Earth Papito, Grimhood, and many others who disrupted their respective markets, we, too, decided to take matters into our own hands and create the most powerful electrolyte and mineral blend in the world.

MB-0.1 would:

• have clinical dosages and adequate ratios between mineral pairings
• use chelated forms and avoid saturating transporters,
• feature a comprehensive mineral profile to make up for what was lost due to soil depletion
• mimic the trace mineral content of some of the best waters on the planet
• and lastly, a publicly available COA

Now, many months later, here we are, but we are not done yet! But we need to sell out our current stock of MB-0.1 before we can kickstart production (storage is expensive!) of the next™ iteration .
